High Performance Minimum Diameter Rocket

Date

March 2023 - August 2023

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰
The goal for this project was to attempt to design a rocket solely around having the highest performance possible in the smallest possible size. This rocket challenged me to learn how to design a rocket capable of surviving high speeds and accelerations, while also being challenged with fitting all of the complexities of an electronic dual deoplymnent recovery system and GPS into a small footprint.

This project involved many late nights and hours of redesigning components just to save as little as a tenth of an inch in length or a quarter of an ounce in weight. Over time these little gains added up and left me with a design that had the performance I desired and that I could be truly proud of.
